A Bit of History:
The Villa Bonheur available today was once known as Château Bonheur. Originally named Castel des Petits Champs, it was purchased in the 1920s by Georges Bonheur, an industrialist and businessman, who expanded and transformed it. Bankrupted in 1934, he sold the property to the city of Gennevilliers, which turned it into a holiday camp. In 2005, it was sold to the city of Granville, and the estate was then split in two: one part became a leisure center and music school, which now bears the name Château Bonheur. The other part was sold to a developer in 2009, though the project was never completed. It was bought and restored in 2020 by new owners and is now known as Villa Bonheur.
