Chateau in Saint-Florentin

UNDER OFFER- In the department of Indre, neo-gothic style castle from the beginning of the 20th century. It offers two beautiful reception rooms opening onto a terrace, an office and 11 spacious bedrooms. It is located between Châteauroux and Vierzon, 2h30 from Paris (by A20) on a 6ha English park, with a covered swimming pool, and a vast outbuilding (equipped with a large courtyard and containing two lodgings, a garage and a stable).

The chateau is built in stone, with rendered walls and a slate roof, on 3 levels on a semi-buried basement. The body of the building is dissymmetrical, with towers, projections and pavilions, the slate roof is high and favors pyramids. The openings are numerous underlined by a semi oblong lintel and occasionally give access to terraces, on the ground floor and the first floor.

History:
The Château dates from the beginning of the 20th century and was used during the First World War as the headquarters of the American forces in France, then requisitioned by the Red Cross in 1918, to accommodate the war wounded.

THE DEPENDENCE :

The outbuilding has been restored/renovated about 5 years ago. It is heated with gas, the gas tank being buried. The apartment on the second floor is heated by electricity. Solar panels are arranged on the roof of the outbuilding.

The castle and the outbuilding are intimately surrounded by trees, often centenarians, which adds to the calmness and the pleasure of the place.
