Vierzon: 17th-century château to be renovated

At the heart of the Vierzon Hospital Centre stands a château dating back to 1640, with a surface area of approximately 450 m², in need of renovation. This exceptional property also includes a dovecote, a well listed as a historic monument, a tower, and a large outbuilding in need of refurbishment. The complex is set on approximately 7,000 m² of land, divided into two separate plots.

A. The château

Built in the 17th century, the château is a rectangular dwelling with a basement, two floors and a converted attic. It is distinguished by its remarkable architectural features: a projecting stair tower, two corbelled towers topped with pepperpot roofs, and two other stair towers. The north façade is embellished with two wings. The complex is built in a classical style, offering spacious rooms and a functional interior layout.

Mezzanine

Accessible from both inside and outside, the mezzanine comprises several rooms, including the boiler room (wood-fired heating substation to be recommissioned) and the former kitchens.

Ground floor (approx. 150 m²)

The main entrance, located on the south side, opens onto a hallway running through the building.

To the east: a large living room, a cloakroom, two WCs and two offices.

To the west: a large living room, a small living room, an office, a washbasin and a WC.

The reception rooms retain beautiful period features such as fireplaces and parquet flooring.

First floor (approx. 150 m²)

A central landing leads to several spacious bedrooms, including a boudoir and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Some bedrooms have fireplaces.

Converted attic (approx. 150 m²)

The attic houses two independent apartments, each comprising a living room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom with WC.

Outbuildings
